T-Mobile set to get Galaxy Note

Hints that Samsung could be prepping a version of the Galaxy Note for T-Mobile appear to have been confirmed with photos of the device surfacing in the wild. The photos, which passed through the in-box of the team at Tmo News, also show a number of T-Mobile apps preinstalled on the device. Pre-loaded apps include T-Mobile Name ID, Mall, TV and My T-Mobile.

Beyond the inclusion of T-Mobile logo and mobile applications, there appears to be little else to distinguish the 'phablet' from other variants already on the market. However, one likely difference, though not confirmed, is that the device will include a radio compatible with T-Mobile's HSPA+ 42Mbps network.

The Galaxy Note currently ships with a dual-core 1.4Ghz processor and incorporates an 8-megapixel camera on the rear complemented by a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. In addition to the large 5.3-inch Super AMOLED HD display, the main selling point of the device is its signature Wacom-developed S-Pen. Although arriving some months after the introduction of Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), the device will continue to ship with Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) out of the box.
