Intel Ivy Bridge CPUs coming to three AIOs soon
HP's Omni 27, Lenovo's A720 and ASUS' ET27 all-in-one PCs have all been upgraded to Ivy Bridge processors, or Intel's latest Core processors. The HP listing should be updated in a week or two and the 27-inch, 1080p screen doesn't have a touchscreen option, however. Users can make it an HDTV as there is an HDMI input.
It includes a wireless mouse and keyboard, while Beats audio is integrated. The computer can be upgraded up to 8GB of RAM and with a 256GB SSD or a 3TB hard drive. Graphics processors can be had from either AMD or NVIDIA, with the HD6550A and the GT 540M being the most capable options, respectively. Pricing and shipping dates are yet to be revealed, but the current Omni 27 starts at $1,200.
The ASUS ET27 will also soon be upgraded to the new chips as well, and its 27-inch display does get a 10-point multi-touch panel. Prices aren't yet revealed either for models with the Ivy Bridge processor.
Finally, the Lenovo A720, which is the only one that ships without a keyboard, will also get the Ivy Bridge update sometime soon. An Intel Core i7 will power it, with up to 8GB of RAM on offer as well. It should cost about $1,300.
