Spotify iPad app spotted in beta version?

Music streaming service Spotify may announce a release date for an official app for Apple's iPad at its event this Wednesday. The indication comes from a purported Instagram image of the app on an iPad, since pulled, from a Swedish technology consultant. It was captioned "It's getting closer!" and preserved by The Verge.

The app is reportedly in the beta stage and shows an overlapping pane interface similar to that in Twitter. The bottom of the screen has a navigation bar while the sidebar contains shortcuts dubbed Search, What's New, Inbox, Playlists, and Friends.

The company's community site lists an iPad app as "planned," and there aren't any other indications about its release.
