PS Vita Facebook app update opens up photo uploads

updated 03:10 pm EDT, Sat April 14, 2012

PS Vita now friendlier to photo uploads

Sony has quietly updated the PlayStation Vita's Facebook app to support photo uploads. At least on Wi-Fi, gamers can now post photos from the console's cameras directly to the news feed or to the Wall. Accordingly, the social app now recognizes photo tags.

Other updates bring page support and the ability to use any system language that the Vita itself recognizes.

Vita owners just need to load the app to check for the 1.01 update and install it. Sony hasn't publicly set out limitations on network access, but the transfer cap on 3G may limit the number of photos that can be sent. [via GBATemp]
