Apple seeds new build of 10.7.4 to developers

updated 08:30 pm EDT, Fri April 13, 2012

Third build has no known issues

Apple today released a new build of the forthcoming 10.7.4 for developers, asking them to focus on interactions with the App Store, graphics, e-mail, QuickTime, Screen Sharing and Time Machine. The new version, build 11E46, comes two weeks after the previous one (11E35) and barely a month since the first external beta (11E27). The new version has no known issues, and developers are asked to focus on the same areas as in the previous build.

The incremental changes in version number, steady release schedule and similar focus are signs that Apple considers the update nearly complete and could release it soon. As with previous builds, Apple cautions that the update is not to be installed on "production" computers as testers will be unable to revert back to any previous systems after updating, reports AppleInsider.

The "delta" version of the update can only be installed on systems with 10.7.3 or any of the previous 10.7.4 builds, while the "combo" version can be installed on any version of Lion. The files are available for download from Apple's Mac Developer page. [via AppleInsider]
