Combination units expected in third quarter
Toshiba has announced its new line of all-in-one desktop PCs it will release in the third quarter. The 21.5-inch LX815 and 23-inch LX835 are Intel Ivy Bridge powered combined monitor and computer units which Toshiba are aiming towards design conscious users.
Both units offer full 1080p HD displays with up to 16GB RAM, up to 3TB of hard disk space, six USB ports (two as USB 3.0, the rest as USB 2.0) with the ability to charge devices while the computer is turned off, Onkyo speakers with SRS processing and HDMI input from other devices.
A full keyboard and wireless mouse will be bundled alongside the computer. Optional extras include Blu-ray drives and a TV tuner which can connect to a DVR or set-top box with an IR blaster.
Toshiba is expecting to make the LX815 and LX835 available at $600 and $880 respectively, through Best Buy and on-line retailers.
