Pogue publishes new guide to OS X Lion
Battlefront.com has announced the upcoming release of a Mac version of Combat Mission: Shock Force, its tactical ground combat simulation that includes both real-time and turn-based gameplay. The new Mac version is fully compatible with OS X 10.6 and higher, and includes the original base game as well as three expansion packs. The game will be available for both download, and mail delivery starting at $45 plus shipping and handling in 6-8 weeks. Meanwhile, pre-orders will start to be accepted in 1-2 weeks.
Switching to the Mac: The Missing Manual, Lion Edition released
A new book from David Pogue, Switching to the Mac: The Missing Manual, Lion Edition, has recently been published by O'Reilly Media. The guide covers basic tips on transferring files from a PC to a Mac, as well as more detailed guides on how to extract e-mail, address book, calendar, and web data. Mac equivalents of major Windows programs are also covered, along with the major new features introduced in OS X Lion.
