UK's PC World may jump Apple's 8AM launch
Third-party retailers around the world are starting to receive stock of the third-generation iPad, according to reports. In one instance photos are said to show iPads sitting in inventory at a US Best Buy outlet. In the UK, anecdotes suggest that PC World outlets are already receiving stock.
A source for Pocket-lint claims that PC World is in fact planning to beat Apple to the punch, offering iPads as early 12:01AM on the 16th, several hours before the official 8AM debut. Midnight launches may be limited to PC World's Tottenham Court Road store in London; outlets in Edinburgh and Birmingham may still beat Apple, though, by allegedly opening at 7AM.
