Elements tablets to bring range of sizes

Archos has detailed its 2012 tablet lineup, which includes several Elements tablets and the G10xs model that aims to compete with the iPad. The G10 features a 7.6mm-thick steel housing, shaving nearly 2mm from the iPad's thickness.

The company is also planning to offer a keyboard dock for the G10, mimicking the functionality of ASUS' Transformer tablets. The keyboard is said to double as a protective cover, bringing the total thickness up to just 12mm when folded together.

The Elements series will reportedly offer Google certification for the Android experience, with a budget-focused feature set. Buyers will be able to choose from a seven-inch model, slightly larger eight-inch variant, or a full-size 10-inch model.

The G10xs is expected to be priced between 200 to 300EUR (~$260 - 390 USD), while the smallest Elements is said to carry a 129EUR (~$168 USD) price tag. The eight-inch Elements tablet is expected to be available for 149EUR (~$195 USD) and the 10-inch variant is expected to command 200EUR (~$260 USD). [via Arctablet News]
