Toshiba shows 13.3-inch Tegra 3 tablet concept

updated 03:55 pm EST, Tue March 6, 2012

Tablet just a concept, not a real product...yet

Toshiba, on the heels of its showing off its still-mysterious AT270 7.7-inch tablet at Mobile World Congress last week, has revealed a conceptualization of a much larger sibling. The Japanese electronics maker has displayed a mock up of a 13.3-inch super-sized tablet. If Toshiba ultimately makes it into a commercial product, it's expected to come powered by a quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor.

The company used its Toshiba 2012 conference in the UK to showcase the model. Because it couldn't power on, it was difficult to anticipate any details of its inner design, or what type of display would be used. Toshiba more lately has been upgrading to high-quality IPS LCDs. Two words...two big.

Big means less mobile. Shorter battery life means less mobile. These companies have no idea of what they are trying to achieve. It seems they go into a boardroom with one question....how can we make money....instead of going into the boardroom and saying....what useful product can we make that people will want.
