FileMaker DevCon set for July 16th-19th in Miami

updated 12:50 pm EST, Thu March 1, 2012

iPhone, iPad apps a major focus

Apple-owned FileMaker has formally announced details of the 2012 FileMaker Development Conference. The event is scheduled for July 16th through the 19th at the Fontainebleau Hotel, in Miami, Florida. A variety of sessions will be on offer, including topics like security, scripting, location technology, web data, and server configuration.

FileMaker adds that because of "escalating demand," it's expanding the number of sessions dedicated to FileMaker Go for iOS. Among some of the planned subjects are design guidelines, mobile device management, and deploying the app in an organization.

Two different conference packages are being sold. The Standard one allows access to all normal sessions, workshops, exhibits, and networking events, and is being priced at $1,295 up until May 22nd, or $1,595 thereafter. The Gold package grants access to pre-conference sessions, as well as the FileMaker Training Series. Earlybird pricing is $1,895, and the regular rate will be $2,195.
