BlackBerry Curve 9320 desitned for India pictured

Canadian smartphone maker Research In Motion will bring out two entry-level Curve phones, the Curve 9220 and 9320 for India, likely sometime in April. The first images of the latter handset have been shared on the web this week, thanks to BGR India. The all-plastic exterior is said to be of high-quality, and the size of the phone is described as being perfect.

Like the slightly lower-end 9220, the 9320 will have BlackBerry OS 7.1 onboard. Unlike that phone, however, it will have a 3G radio and a higher-resolution camera onboard, along with a dedicated BBM shortcut button. An FM radio is said to be built-in, though this wasn't confirmed by BGR personally. Another third-party assertion is that the battery lasted longer than a day that involved lots of calls on a 2G network.

Based on the Curve 9220's expected Rs 9,000 (nearly $184) price tag, the 9320 may cost about Rs 12,000 (about $245). Phones in India aren't subsidized by carriers, hence the prices seem high.
