Nokia Lumia 900 internals exposed at FCC

updated 06:50 pm EST, Wed February 29, 2012

Availability from AT&T still a mystery

Internal teardown images of Nokia's flagship Windows Phone, the Lumia 900, have been posted. The photos, which expose some of the smartphone's internal design, have shown up at the FCC. It gave a rare glimpse as to how Nokia's normally sealed-off design is built.

The Lumia 900 embeds a 4.3-inch 800x480 AMOLED display in Nokia's signature wrap-around polycarbonate plastic case. It comes powered by a 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon single-core processor. Although the FCC demo showed the LTE version bound for AT&T, international versions are coming, including for Canada's Rogers in April in LTE trim.

In addition to the photos, the submission to the FCC includes a user's guide. The phone still is not showing up on AT&T's website and hasn't been officially dated, although it's widely expected to ship in March. Negri, a phone importer, is offering the white international HSPA+ version of the phone for pre-sale on its website for $650. [via Engadget]
