ViewSonic ViewPad gets MWC 2012 refresh

ViewSonic brought its offerings for Mobile World Congress out on Friday, starting with tablets. The previously-leaked ViewPad G70 hopes to claim the budget title by combining Android 4.0 with a seven-inch screen. Prices are kept down by using a two-megapixel rear camera and a VGA front camera, although it has 1GB of RAM, a microSDHC card slot, and mini HDMI; ViewSonic hasn't identified the processor.

The ViewPad E100 only has a few details and no imagery, but appears intended as a direct equivalent to the iPad, with a similar 9.7-inch, 1024x768, 4:3 ratio display using color-accurate IPS. An unnamed 1GHz processor will be at the Android 4.0 slate's heart, and it should have HDMI and microSDHC. It should be just slightly thicker than an iPad 2 at 0.36 inches.

One Windows 7 tablet will fill out the range. Picking the ViewPad P100 will give a 10-inch, 1280x800 widescreen display with IPS as well as a modern, Cedar Trail-era dual-core 1.6GHz Atom. Cameras exist on the front and back, but ViewSonic hasn't given their details.

Prices and ship dates haven't been narrowed down for the three tablets.
