All-new Box app arrives for Android 4.0

Box adds new features, languages to Android app

Cloud storage provider Box has just unveiled an all-new Android app (free, Android Market) for quick access to its service. Newly added are collaboration features such as commenting, bulk uploading, and adding uploaders to folders. Android 4.0 is also supported, and there are four new Western European languages.

The new batch upload feature allows users uploading more than one file from an SD card and get in-app progress notifications. To reflect the Android 4.0 update, a new Action Bar was added as well.

To celebrate the release, Box is offering the owner of any kind of compatible Android-powered device 50GB of free storage. They need to get the app within a month's time, but will retain the 50GB for the lifetime of their Box account.

Box promises more languages will be added soon to cater to its global users. Current Box users can claim their 50GB of free storage by updating to the latest version of the app for their device. The promotion ends on March 23.
