LG takes the wraps off new 'L-Style' range

LG has continued with its pre-World Mobile Congress announcements, this time revealing the previously teased L-Style smartphone series. The L7 is a high-end smartphone that centers on a 4.3-inch widescreen display and the L5 is a mid-range device with a 4-inch display incorporating 'enhanced readability'. Both phones are among a trickle of new devices starting to ship with Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) as a standard install. The L3 will have more compact form factor built around a 3.2-inch display.

LG hasn't detailed the rest of the specifications of the devices at this time, with the emphasis being placed on the 'five aesthetic elements' that form the basis of the L-Style theme. The phones will have a metallic feel, curved edges and a sole rectangular button at the bottom (similar to some Samsung Galaxy S II variants). They will also feature a 'floating mass display' that gives the impression that the screen is floating as the display is placed very close to the glass. Thin is also in for the series.

We expect that more details about the devices will follow at LG's exhibit at World Mobile Congress, which takes place at the beginning of next week. Electronista will be on hand to bring you all the latest news as it comes straight out of Barcelona. [via Phone Arena]
