Nokia's 305 and 610 phones get Indonesian certification

Nokia 305, 610 certified by Indonesian regulator

Indonesia has issued certification for the operation of two new Nokia handsets, the Asha 305 and Lumia 610. The 305 is expected to be part of the entry-level Asha range and sport the Symbian S40 operating system and may get a 1GHz processor. The 610 is likely to be an entry-level Windows Phone device, and the certification reveals the Lumia 610 will get GSM 900/1,800MHz support along with WCDMA at 2,100MHz for 3G.

While neither has been made official by Nokia, the 610 has been rumored to be offered only on pay-as-you-go plans in the UK. It will also reportedly run the leaner Tango version of Windows Phone, which can run on as little as 256MB of RAM and three-megapixel cameras. Tango should let users export contacts to their SIM, manage roaming, and allow for multiple attachments in one MMS.

At least one of these handsets, if not both, are expected to be made official at the Mobile World Congress show at the end of the month, with Nokia hosting a press conference on February 27. [via The Verge]
