Briefly: Bump updated to 3.0, iSmart Protection Plans

updated 01:55 pm EST, Thu February 16, 2012

Third party iOS devices warranty

The popular data sharing utility has undergone a major upgrade to v3.0, while iQue Repair has released a new line of protection plans for iOS devices

Bump, a free app for quickly sharing information between mobile devices, has been completely redesigned with a focus on sharing contact information in social settings and sharing photos with friends and family. Unlike most major updates, Bump 3.0 actually removes more features than it adds, however, the developers feel this has resulted in a streamlined experience that still offers the most requested functions. Bump's new interface uses a swipeable layer that allows users to move between different functions while remaining ready to bump at any time. The existing mutual friends feature has also been expanded and will now instantly show any mutual friends that two new contacts have. At the time of writing the update has not shown in the App Store, but is expected to become available later today.

IQue Repair launches new protection plans for iOS devices

iQue Repair has announced the launch of a new line of protection plans for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices. Individual iSmart Protection Plans start at $59 for a two year warranty with unlimited repairs, while family, group, small business, and large organization plans are available at discounted rates. The company can repair a number of components, including the front glass, battery, cameras, and speakers, and currently has repair facilities in Midvale and Provo, UT.
