The additional markets to receive LTE service include cities in Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Missouri, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia and Wisconsin.

Specific cities include Rockford and Peoria, Illinois; Columbia and Jefferson City, Missouri; Manchester, New Hampshire; Wilmington and Jacksonville, North Carolina; Tulsa Oklahoma; Medford, Oregon; Knoxville, Tennessee; Roanoke and Lynchburg, Virginia; Yakima and the Tri-Cities, Washington; Morgantown, West Virginia; and LaCrosse and Beloit, Wisconsin.

The company suggests its LTE footprint will spread to include 3,600 additional cities and towns in urban and rural areas by the second half of the year.

Customers will be able to take advantage of the faster network when using the upcoming Samsung LTE hotspot, along with existing devices including Samsung's Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet and Galaxy S Aviator smartphone. The company promises to release additional LTE-equipped devices throughout the rest of the year, however a time-frame and list of devices has yet to be announced.
