ASUS moves first Transformer's Android 4.0 as far as March

ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Android 4 to wait

ASUS hinted at possible setbacks on getting the Eee Pad Transformer's Android 4.0 update to users. Having originally pegged it for mid-February, ASUS through its Singapore branch briefed owners that it would be ready within a "Feb/March 2012 period." No explanation was given for the setback.

An exact timeframe was still coming.

The company has had trouble pushing Android 4.0 to its tablets across the board. Although an update was ready for the newer Transformer Prime in January, some couldn't get it. Others have complained of problems carrying over from 3.2 to the new release, such as random freezes.

Promises of fast Android 4.0 updates across the board have so far fallen short. Motorola at first was aiming to update much of its recent lineup early into 2012, but it moved most to spring or summer and has left most of Verizon's lineup without any schedule.

    This is funny to watch

The Android OEM's are so desperate to move tablets that they are sacrificing their onw brand name in replace of Android.
ASUS hopes that by pushing ICS Android they will make more sales forgetting that by advertising Android instead of ASUS makes it easier for people to compare and switch between Android tablets. This in turn drives prices to razor thin margins.
Now look at Amazon. Sure their tablet is cheap and nasty but at the moement it is selling and a lot of people don't even know it runs Android (an old hobbled version but still). The brand name is Kindle and the Model is mention of Ginegrbread or Honeycomb or ICS.
