Apple updates OS X drivers for eight printer brands

updated 04:55 pm EST, Wed February 15, 2012

Unusual burst of updates

In an unusual move, Apple has released simultaneous OS X driver updates for eight different brands. These include Canon, Samsung, Gestetner, Ricoh, Infotec, Lanier, InfoPrint, and NRG. Filesizes range from just under 17MB for the InfoPrint drivers to almost 330MB for Canon.

In each case, the drivers require at least OS X Snow Leopard. While Apple will often release multiple driver updates at a time, the number is usually much smaller.
