LG X3 gets early specs, Quadrant test numbers

LG's upcoming X3 smartphone was benchmarked and its main specs leaked ahead of an expected MWC debut thanks a source speaking to MoDaCo. The NVIDIA Tegra 3-powered device is said to run on 1.5GHz on a single core or 1.4GHz on two or four cores. As on other Tegra 3 devices, a fifth 'companion' core exists for idle task operations to help extend the life of the 2,000mAh battery.

The X3 should also get a 4.7-inch, 720x1280 touchscreen, an eight-megapixel rear camera with a very fast shutter, and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. Users will have the option of adding to the 16GB of built-in memory thanks to a microSD memory card slot.

Android 4.0.3 is preloaded, according to the About screen capture, with the latest NVIDIA 2.6.39 kernel. The OS appears to be unmodified with any sort of skins, though this may still change. What the model name will be is also up in the air, as it was blanked out in the screenshot, embedded below. The capture also indicates NFC will be onboard through the round icon in the top status bar.

Finally, the phone was benchmarked using the 'new Quadrant' test, posting up an impressive 4412 points, or more than double of what the Samsung Galaxy Tab managed.

Screens are getting BIGGER & BIGGER!

Apple better start making the iPhone's larger too, 3.5 is WAY too cramped for media consumption

    Phone size getting ridiculous

Race for screen size is plain stupid and no one can win at this game. It's the same issue of TV, only idiot define the quality of their TV by its size. Blowing the screen and phones size while preserving the same resolution is a gimmick only to fool their fandroid.

Beside, smartphone are communication swiss knifes, not a media consumption device. To consume media, larger screen device like iPads or TV is the way, not overblowed phone.
