Scalado Remove deletes unwanted content from phone photos

updated 08:35 pm EST, Tue February 14, 2012

App dentifies and removes undesirable objects

Swedish developer Scalado has previewed a new photo editing tool for mobile devices. The app, Remove, lets a user highlight and then remove an unwanted object from an image on their smartphone. Remove can actually get rid of the object before or after the photo is taken.

The app operates in a straightforward manner. As a user is framing a picture, Remove detects, selects, and then outlines suspect elements in a photo. The user can then automatically have the app remove the unwanted objects, or manually touch them on the display.

Scalado claims that Remove is the first object elimination software developed for mobile devices. The company will be officially launching the app later this month at the upcoming Mobile World Conference in Barcelona. Scalado hasn't disclosed pricing if it isn't intended to be free.

    Hi Think-A-Dude!

Don't you wish you could do the same to all those outside the Apple cult?

Ah, and by the way was that not an Android device?

    Wrenchyyyy where are you?
