iPad painted as integral tool
Apple has updated its "iPad in Business" promotional page with a new profile, the Theatre Consultants Collaborative. The firm designs and builds theater spaces around the world, and Apple is marketing the iPad as an essential part of TCC operations. The company is said to use the tablet for functions like conference calls via GoToMeeting, and handling architectural drawings in AutoCAD WS. An app called AudioTools is used to judge sound frequencies in a space.
The iPad has proven especially popular in the corporate world, prompting Apple to focus more effort than usual on attracting enterprise customers. The company is normally extremely consumer-oriented, paying attention to business clients only when opportunities arise. CEO Tim Cook, though, is thought to be much friendlier to enterprise than his predecessor, Steve Jobs.
