Luca Visual FX outs new plugins for Final Cut, After Effects

Add-ons simulate 'broken' movies
Luca Visual FX has launched four new plugins for Final Cut Pro, Motion, and After Effects. The first of these, Grunge Effects, is split between overlays and transitions. Both sets consist of animated textures, and despite their specialization, the transitions can potentially double as overlays.
The Film Leaders plugin lets users create their own leaders, adjusting font elements such as type, size, kerning, spacing, texture, and animations. 50 presets are included. The Sprockets Slip plugin meanwhile simulates the sprocket holes on the sides of film, while Light Leaks models the exposure problems created by flawed cameras.
Grunge Effects and Film Leaders are $99 each. Light Leaks is $59, and Sprockets Slip is $49. The plugins require the use of Noise Industries' FxFactory 3, which is a free download.
