Kinect Star Wars Xbox 360 bundle finally due April 3

Kinect Star Wars Xbox 360 gets definitive date

After months of extra waiting for the game itself, Microsoft has confirmed that the Kinect Star Wars Xbox 360 bundle will be available April 3. The special edition system will cost $450 and includes a 320GB Xbox 360, a Kinect motion controller, and a copy of the game in question. Both the console and the Kinect have unique R2-D2 theming, while the gamepad is patterned after C-3PO.

While no extra software sits on the console, it does replace the stock boot-up and disc eject sounds with R2-D2 audio cues. The bundled game lets players use full-body motion to mimic a Jedi's lightsaber fighting with extra gestures to move around the game world.

Pre-orders are available from Amazon (above) and other sites as of Tuesday; despite listing the June 1 date, April 3 remains accurate. [via Larry Hryb]
