Jawbone's super-sized Big Jambox speaker shows at FCC

Jawbone Big Jambox promises more wireless sound

Jawbone's plans for a bigger Bluetooth speaker were given away late Thursday after an FCC filing showed a new device. Just called the Big Jambox, the diagramming hints that it might represent a literal upsizing of the brick-shaped audio device. Not much is hinted at in directly by the filing besides the inclusion of Bluetooth.

Launch dates and other details aren't apparent. The Big Jambox is currently under a typical FCC confidentialty request that prevents real-world photos, the manual, and other details from going public. Its length and when the Big Jambox entered the silence aren't mentioned as they are in some other FCC filings.

It will likely carry a premium over the current, $200 Jambox and may be intended more as a stationary living room audio system than a portable system. [via Wireless Goodness]
