iPad training courses from FMC

Quest Visual has added new French support to its Word Lens app for iOS devices, while Future Media Concepts has announced four new iPad training courses

Quest Visual has updated its augmented reality translation tool, Word Lens, with the ability to translate between French and English. The software uses the device's built-in camera to identify text, and is capable of performing real-time translations without an internet connection. The app itself is available as a free download in the App Store, however, individual language packs are sold as $10 in-app purchases.

Future Media Concepts announces new iPad training courses

Four new iPad training courses designed for IT personal and developers have been announced by Future Media Concepts. The first two courses, iPad Support Essentials and iPad Deployment, look to teach students how to manage company networks with iOS apps and provide support to employees. Meanwhile, Publishing on iPad demonstrates how to use Adobe InDesign to create and distribute content and publications for iPad, and iPad Basics shows how to use the device effectively in both casual and professional environments. More information, upcoming class dates and locations, and registration instructions are available on Future Media Concepts website.
