Pentax K-01 images leak ahead of official debut

Ahead of its official unveiling in London on February 2, the Pentax K-01 camera may have been seen in images shared online by Mirrorless Rumors. The shooter was designed together with Australian industrial designer Marc Newson, according to Stuff-Review, and is expected to share its 16.2-megapixel sensor with the company's larger K-5. The camera will support K-mount lenses and is supposed to ship with a new DA 40mm f2.8 lens that's under 0.4 inches thick.

The mirrorless camera is believed to have an integrated electronic viewfinder and a three-inch LCD with 921,000 pixels. It will use a contrast autofocus system and be capable of recording 1080p video with the option of an external microphone. Two other new lenses should accompany the camera at its debut. A pop-up flash is believed to be integrated into the body as well, which is said to weigh 1.2lbs with its battery installed.

Three different colors of the camera may be offered as well.
