Compressor 4.0.2 tweaks marker, export settings

updated 01:00 pm EST, Tue January 31, 2012

Joins Final Cut, Motion updates

Apple has posted Compressor 4.0.2, an update of its export utility for Final Cut Pro X. The new version makes just a handful of changes, for instance setting markers as chapter markers by default. Uncompressed 8-bit and 10-bit 4:2:2 have been added to the export settings list, and in a related improvement, transcoding uncompressed 10-bit 4:2:2 should be faster.

Compressor costs $50 and requires at least OS X 10.6.8. The update caps off a series of Tuesday Apple updates, including Final Cut Pro X 10.0.3 and Motion 5.0.2.
