Company debuts cloud service

Of the numerous app developers that brought their latest offerings to the Macworld iWorld expo, WebIS' updated Pocket Informant utilities captured the attention of many attendees. MacNN checked out Pocket Informant 2 for the iPad, along with the company's cloud services that will eventually enhance the iOS apps.

Pocket Informant essentially combines several existing iOS features, enabling users to manage calendars, contact information and notes all in one place. We like the approach, which eliminates the need to switch between several apps that are related to productivity.

Version 2 offers several new features, including a tweaked interface and built-in voice recording functionality. The app is clearly more refined, and we are looking forward to the cloud services that will further expand the management features onto a web-based interface.

WebIS expects to launch Pocket Informant 2 for the iPad by Sunday for $10 on the App Store, while the iPhone variant has already arrived.
