Shaderlight accurately renders lighting fixtures

Gekko, a new financial tool designed for iOS devices, is set to launch early next week, while ArtVPS and Visa Lighting have released an updated version of Shaderlight

iPhonso has announced that its mobile financial tool, Gekko, will be launched in the App Store on January 31. The universal app is fully customizable and allows users to follow financial news from their favorite websites. Gekko also includes a smart caching system and built-in ad blocking to help improve page load times, as well as raw financial data for every stock. Other features include Evernote, Read It Later, and Instapaper integration, as well as support for sharing content via e-mail, SMS, and Twitter. Pricing has not yet been announced.

Shaderlight 2.1 released

ArtVPS and Visa Lighting have teamed up to launch Shaderlight 2.1, an update to the lighting plug-in for Google SketchUp. The plug-in includes a library of 3D lighting fixture models that feature embedded lighting information that, when rendered with Shaderlight Pro, will correctly illuminate scenes. Support is also included for embedding custom IES files within SketchUp models, allowing users to easily share files via 3D Warehouse. The update is free for all existing 2.0 customers, while a commercial license sells for $300.
