Noise Industries releases FxFactory 3 for pro video suites

Seven all-new plug-ins also debuting


Pro video effects tool makers Noise Industries have announced that FxFactory 3, the latest version of the plug-in suite designed to work with Apple's Final Cut, Motion, Final Cut Express and Adobe's After Effects, will be a free upgrade for existing users. In addition, the Pro version adds a new "playback ready" transition along with improved existing effects, and users of EasyLooks and SugarFX light pack will receive free upgrades to maintain compatibility.

In addition to FxFactory 3, the company is debuting seven new paid products that works with FxFactory, which now supports Final Cut Pro (versions 6, 7 and X), Motion (versions 3 through 5), Final Cut Express 4 and Adobe After Effects CS3 through CS5.5. Among the new plug-ins available are offerings from Yanobox, Idustrial Revolution and Luca Visual FX. Prices range from $29 to $79.

Yanobox Moods ($49) is a color correction plug-in with a heads-up display interface that lets users color grade HD footage in full-screen mode. Idustrial Revolution's XEffects Tech Transitions ($49) provides 28 high-tech transitions as well as video re-timing and is exclusively for Final Cut Pro X. Nattress offers its Levels and Curves plug-in ($29) that allows for curve-based color adjustment.

Luca Visual FX has Sprocket Slip ($49) which simulates the effect of rolling film slipping out of sync; Film Leaders ($79), a title generator featuring distressed, grungy and rough-looking type; Grunge Effects ($79), a variety of animated textures, and Light Leaks ($59), which lets users overlay light effects.

FxFactory is a free download, and FxFactory Pro 2 users can upgrade to v3 free of charge. The cost for FxFactory Pro 3 is $399.
