Adds film locations, all-new duelling system, more

Feral Interactive has ported the TT Games version of Lego Harry Potter: Years 5-7 for the Mac and will release it on February 16th, the company has announced. Originally made for games consoles and Windows PCs, the game concludes the adventures of Harry, Ron and Hermione using many of the locations of the last four films and covering the events of the last three books. Lego Harry Potter: Years 1-4 was released in February of last year.

The new game features an all-new duelling system, along with 200 characters for players to discover and unlock, including Professor Slughorn and Bellatrix Lestrange. It also features options not mentioned in the movies or books, such as spells and puzzles. Gameplay features include Ron's Deluminator for uncovering hidden items, Spectrespecs for seeing and using otherwise invisible Spectrespecs Lego blocks, and Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes boxes, which offer some comic relief and assistance for players.

The game will retail for $30 and is available for pre-order now from Feral Interactive. When released, buyers will be able to purchase it via Feral and the Mac App Store as well as other gaming download sites. It requires a 1.4GHz Intel Mac with a 128MB or better graphics card and OS X 10.6.8 or later. The game does not support the Intel GMA series or the ATI X1xxx and Nvidia 7xxx series cards.
