Ideum 65-inch 3D Presenter made for public spaces

Ideum, which makes Microsoft Surface-like computer tables such as the MT-50, has now revealed its 65-inch MT65 Presenter display that hangs vertically, on a wall. The multi-touch 3D display is meant for public consumption and is thus covered by tempered glass. It can recognize and track up to 32 touch points.

The four-inch aluminum frame is made to withstand vandalism and houses a 2.2GHz Core i7 processor, 8GB of RAM, and a 256GB solid state drive, along with NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 460 graphics card. The screen has a 1080p resolution and uses passive 3D technology, while its LED backlight is rated for 50,000 hours. It's covered by 3mm thick tempered glass. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, HDMI input and output in addition to an Ethernet connection are present as well. Rounding out the major hardware specs is a HD webcam with Carl Zeiss optics, stereo speakers and a stereo microphone.

Currently, only Windows 7 versions are available, but a model with Linux onboard is due to arrive in March. The $17,450 price of entry also includes the GestureWorks SDK.
