BlackBerry roadmap rumor has 7-inch 3G, 10-inch 4G PlayBooks

RIM schedule has broad BlackBerry, PlayBook plans

A purported roadmap for RIM's top-level 2012 strategy may have been uncovered on Monday. As portrayed by N4BB, RIM would have a "3G+" (likely HSPA+) version of the existing BlackBerry PlayBook design due for its one-year anniversary in April. The previously hinted-at 10-inch PlayBook would be coming with LTE for 4G, it said, but wouldn't arrive until December.

RIM's delayed first BlackBerry 10 phone, presumably the London, would be timed for September. PlayBook 2.0 would arrive next month, as promised, but towards the end.

Two BlackBerry Curve phones would be coming at unmentioned points in the year. One would be aimed at the developing world and stop at EDGE-based data to keep the price down. Mobile Fusion would arrive in finished form by April to remote manage Android and iOS alongside the BlackBerry, while a PlayBook Admin Service would be due in summer.

Such a schedule isn't complete and would likely leave out any extra BlackBerry 7 devices. It could leave BlackBerry World in May without much if any actual hardware, possibly in a non-interactive display. If so, RIM could leave its range in limbo once again without clear refreshes for much of its existing lineup outside of tablets.
