Netflix expands to Britain
Netflix confirmed its long-in-the-making plans to expand to Ireland and the UK on Monday. The service works much like its American equivalent but has some accommodation for the local market, such as The Only Way is Essex. Going to the area also brings the full Facebook integration that's currently off-limits to Americans.
Device access should also be much the same as it is on the other side of the Atlantic, including some TV sets, the three major TV consoles, and the Apple TV.
A streaming-only subscription costs either £6 for UK residents or €7 for the Irish. As with other international launches, Netflix doesn't have a physical store and is relying on pure streaming.
