updated 10:00 pm EST, Fri January 6, 2012

Will formally launch at CES, optional mirror

Those who like to sing in the shower or just enjoy some music near the pool or beach can do so without fear of getting their expensive iOS or Android device wet with iDevices' introduction of the iShower, a long range (up to 200 feet) Bluetooth speaker that is water-resistant, can be paired with up to five different devices and offers up to 15 hours of safe listening. The company, best known for its iGrill cooking hardware, will debut the iShower at CES.

The speaker includes an LED time display and can optionally include an anti-fog shower mirror. It features easy no-tools installation and can be equally easily be detached for portable use, and runs on three AA batteries (included). In addition to allowing the streaming mobile device to be well out of harm's way, users can control volume, play, pause and forward/rewind functions from the speaker.

The iShower is compatible with all Bluetooth streaming audio devices. For those attending CES, the iDevices booth is in the North Hall (#3826) and the company will also be demonstrating both the iGrill iOS-based cooking thermometer and an as-yet-unannounced product called the iNotebook.
