Four memory slots enable 32GB DDR3 expansion

MSI has introduced its latest flagship gaming notebook, the GT783. The notebook features a 17.3-inch 1080p display paired with NVIDIA's 2GB GeForce GTX 580M discrete graphics components, which first debuted earlier this year in the Alienware M18x, along with Intel's quad-core i7-2670QM processor.

Four memory slots enable users to add up to 32GB of DDR3 memory, though the base model ships with 16GB. Other hardware features include a Blu-ray burner, MSI's Turbo Drive Engine overclocking tool, a multicolor backlit keyboard and Dynaudio speakers.

Two variations will be available, including the standard GT783 and the GT783R. The former offers 16GB of memory, a 128GB SSD and a 750GB disk drive, while the latter omits the solid-state storage but upgrades to 1.5TB of storage.

Both variants are expected to ship this week, with the GT783 fetching $2500 and the GT783R available for $2300.
