Will bridge wide gap between Canada, US locations
Plans are in motion to build a new Apple Store in the Canadian city of London, Ontario, a report notes. City records detailing a $3 million construction project at the Masonville Place mall include an Apple logo. ifoAppleStore real estate sources meanwhile specifically say that Apple will move into an upper-level space, one being vacated by Eddie Bauer this week because of an earlier bankruptcy filing.
The space sits next to a Gap, and measures roughly 6,176 square feet. For Apple the store will bridge coverage between a shop in Waterloo, Ontario, and another in Clinton Township, Michigan. It will also help decentralize Apple's presence in Ontario; most of the province's outlets are clustered around the Toronto area, the main exception being the Rideau Centre outlet in Ottawa.

At that ratio my city would have 7 stores
Hard to believe a store just to service UWO first year student loan people. Do you people know how small London ON is? For years the GTA (about 6 million) only had one store - Yorkdale. Then again Walmart in the area seem to be building a store anywhere there's a catchment of 30,000 people.
