Sony Ericsson LT28at gets details and test shots

Sony Ericsson's codenamed LT28at phone, possibly a cousin of the Nozomi, has had some of its details escape through a Bluetooth SIG listing and photos. The phone will center on a 4.55-inch, 720p screen but also carry one of the first 13-megapixel cameras on a phone in the US. It should run on both HSPA and LTE, a strong sign that it's likely destined for AT&T or at the least a carrier like Rogers in Canada.

Only some other details are public, but it's presumed the phone will pick up a dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon chip.

Supporting evidence for the camera came from a set of photos (below) with metadata tagging the photos as belonging to the LT28at. Other than the name of the phone, they back it having a fairly wide f2.4 aperture and producing high-quality shots, even in sunset. All of the shots were taken around San Francisco areas such as Fell Street, supporting the AT&T beliefs, and may have been snapped just days ago given the appearance of men dressed as Santa Claus in one shot.

Sony Ericsson has given strong clues that it will start folding into Sony with news at CES, which would be the most likely candidate venue for an unveiling. [via Xperia Blog]
