updated 08:45 pm EST, Tue December 20, 2011

Channels added for international markets

Microsoft has announced that it has added eight new channels to the Xbox Live TV service in North America and several European countries. Notable additions include Walmart's VUDU streaming video service, along with Ultimate Fighting Championship content for users in the US and Canada.

International content now includes 4 on Demand and Demand 5 in the United Kingdom, ABC iView in Australia, M6 and MSN Video in France, and Dailymotion in 34 different countries across the globe.

The company recently showed off an Xbox Companion app with Vudu integration for Windows Phone 7. The demonstration was the first hint that the service would be expanded beyond its previous presence on Sony's PS3.

The new channels are now available from the Xbox 360's revamped dashboard.
