Verizon outs Galaxy Nexus Android 4.0.2 update
While Verizon has now launched the Galaxy Nexus, it has also gone ahead and released an over-the-air software update. It's the first one for the phone and brings Android 4.0.2 ICL53F. Contained are Wi-Fi and 3G/4G radio improvements, an enhanced look to the lock screen, and better visuals when the front camera is running.
Unfortunately, the update has also taken away DivX video file support with no reason given, though it's promised to come back in a future update. Wi-Fi will reconnect when a known Access Point is within range as well and a number of bugs have been fixed.
Verizon has posted detailed instructions (PDF) on how to get the 10.7MB upgrade. [via Droid-Life]
