iPad 3 mic cable clues into new engineering

More iPad 3 parts have emerged that might be signs of a significant redesign on the inside. The microphone flex ribbon cable at TVC-Mall, which has been a source of accurate pre-release Apple parts in the past, is noticeably different than that in the iPad 2. The anonymously supplied component doesn't have clues of what the future tablet might contain.

Room is open for the part to be one for a prototype, if accurate. Multiple rumors have had the first components being made from November, which would leave opportunities for some of the first parts to have leaked out of the factory. It comes relatively soon after a redesigned Dock Connector might have emerged, however, supporting theories that Apple has been planning a broader overall change to the next iPad.

Most expectations have the iPad 3 centering on a 2048x1536 display and an as yet undescribed A6 processor, but most other details aren't certain.

The iPad 3 itself is generally thought to be arriving in March or April, with full production starting as soon as January. [via Cydia Blog]

    Ok...

I'm as interested as the next guy to see the iPad 3, but this is like trying to sketch a frog from its dissected spleen.
