Lightspeed for iPad launched
Feral Interactive has announced that Tropico 3: Gold Edition will ship at the end of January, while LightSpeed has released an iPad version of its retail software
Feral Interactive has confirmed that Tropico 3: Gold Edition will be released for the Mac on January 26th. Tropico 3's campaign mode features 15 missions that challenge players to develop a single island, each with its own victory conditions, within a set time frame. When released, the game will be available for direct download from a variety of digital partner sites including the Mac App Store. Tropico 3 will retail for $35 and pre-orders will be accepted through Feral's online store in early January.
LightSpeed launches native iPad client
A new iPad app that allows retailers to offer personalized selling experience combined with inventory scanning and wireless payments has been launched by LightSpeed. The self-titled app's Show & Tell feature allows sales representatives to use an iPad to share product details and up to five images with potential customers. Support is also included for the Socket Bluetooth barcode scanner, iDynamo credit card swipe, and Ingenico i6580 terminal for processing both credit and debit transactions. LightSpeed for iPad is a free download and requires a LightSpeed Server with one available user license per iPad client.
