Media manager gets UI upgrade

Web blogging tool MarsEdit has been updated to v3.4, which offers a number of bug fixes as well as support for iPhoto's Faces feature, Lightroom Photo Collection Sets, a zoom control for browser thumbnail sizes and Flickr browser improvements. In addition, the company has made some external editing improvements and squashed a number of bugs, including a crashing issue with SVG images and other improvements.

The program now also allows users to resize the Upload Utility window, and disables width/height fields for non-image files there. The Flickr browser now supports "medium 640" size, and only shows image sizes that are actually available for the selected image. The External Editor now supports Byword as a default editor, and now displays a warning panel if the selected app is not installed.

In addition, the bookmarklet handler now understands sourceHomeURL, sourceFeedURL and sourceName attributes, and the new version fixes a bug where post IDs were sometimes not saved for posts and images. The new version is available either directly from the developers or as an upgrade from the Mac App Store.
