GameStop prices PlayStation Vita memory cards

updated 01:40 pm EST, Mon November 28, 2011

Vita memory cards priced from $30 to $120

Video game retailer GameStop has potentially revealed US pricing information for the unique memory cards that the PlayStation Vita will use. The 4GB card will cost $30, an 8GB one $45, 16GB will be $70, and the 32GB version will cost $120. This is somewhat similar to the prices of the cards for the PSP system at GameStop, which are $38 and $51 for the 4GB and 8GB cards, respectively, and $125 for the 32GB version.

The cards carry a premium over conventional SD cards.

When the Vita launches worldwide on February 22, it will normally be offered in both a $249 Wi-Fi model and $299 3G variants. Games will be released in retail stores and in Sony's online store for download at the same time. Launch titles are expected to include Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Resistance: Burning Skies, and Wipeout, among others. Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and FourSquare apps will also be initially available.

An advance orders only First Edition is due one week earlier for $350 US in a 3G version with a 4GB Vita card, a case, and Little Deviants in the box. [via GamesIndustry]
