Online Apple Store offers free holiday shipping

Apple is currently offering free shipping at its online store, at least in some countries, checks show. At the US storefront, shoppers are now promised "free shipping on everything" until December 22nd. The promotion is scaled back in places like Canada and the UK, where free shipping applies today only. At the Australian store, shoppers are only being given free gift wrapping for iPods and iPads until December 25th.
The company is otherwise offering no other deals tied to Cyber Monday. Most of its annual sales efforts are concentrated around Black Friday, when modest discounts are applied to products like Macs and iPads. Apple's latest Black Friday may have broken records, surpassing a reported internal forecast of four times usual daily sales.
