Apple expected to move into old HMV store
Apple is planning to open another Vancouver, Canada outlet by the end of 2012, sources identified as "real estate insiders" claim. The company is expected to move into 750 Burrard Street, currently home to an HMV megastore scheduled to close down in January. Once HMV is gone Apple's plans reportedly involve renovating 16,000 square feet spread across two floors.
The host building has six floors in total, and has been given heritage status by government. It's also situated in an area known for tourism, including architectural tours. If the store is confirmed it will be Apple's fifth in or around Vancouver, but only the first in the region to operate at street level instead of within a shopping center.
Apple is meanwhile planning to reopen its Knox Street outlet in Dallas, Texas on November 25th at 8AM. The store has been undergoing remodeling and expansion for 10 months, gaining an extra 3,300 square feet, and replacing exterior masonry with a standard Apple glass facade.

Downtown Seattle?
How can there be two Apple stores in downtown Vancouver and one in downtown Portland but not one in downtown Seattle?
