Valencia store still waiting in wings
A new Spanish Apple Store is opening this Friday, November 25th, the company has announced. The outlet is based in the La Cañada shopping mall in the southern coastal town of Marbella. While the area has a native population of just 125,000, it is also a important international tourist destination, which Apple is likely depending on for visitors.
The store is only Apple's fourth in the country. The first was in fact launched 14 months ago, suggesting that the company is pushing relatively hard in Spain despite local economic problems. A fifth store -- located along Carrer de Cristóbal Colon in Valencia -- is expected to open by the end of the year. Apple normally launches most of its outlets by the end of November, however, in order to maximize holiday sales.
